Insurance approval

ello - Has anyone had any experience with Secure Horizons Insurance
approval/disapproval for this surgery?

    Hello all,

    I am so excited! I got a phone call from my program, yesterday. My
    insurance has given their approval! Now all I am waiting on is a
    visit with the surgeon. I truly can’t wait. By this time next year,
    I plan to look and feel like a totally new person. I do have a
    question. I have a problem swallowing foods with a mushy texture.
    Does anyone have suggestions for after surgery eating?

    Congratulations, Linita. Yes, I suggest you start practicing now,
    because there will be whole long periods when almost everything you
    eat MUST be mushy. You will have to chew it to mushy-ness. The
    "hole" between your new pouch and the intestine will be the size of
    a dime. Trust me, when you block that it HURTS. Now is the time to
    go ahead and get used to eating small bites, and chewing to mush.
