choice of surgery, laparoscopic?
was just wondering if any of you had an opinion
on the choice of surgery, if there is such a thing.
I understand that the recovery time is considerably
less and also less pain involved in having this
surgery done laparocsopily. According to my surgeon’s
credentials he practices both surgeries. I’ve only had one
consultation with him and didn’t think to ask him this
question the first time I saw him so I know I have plenty
of time to ask him since I’m in the dreaded waiting
period for the insurance to approve this.<br>Have any of
you had this surgery done laparocsopic? I’m really
afraid of the "pain" after surgery and worried I’ll be a
big wimp! My husband is also considering the surgery
but is worried about all the time off work and
wonders if having it done laparoscopic would make his
recovery time faster? Thanks for anyone’s suggestions or
comments.

et but Doctors still do it. I have heard the
recovery time is SOOOOO much quicker. There is no huge
incision. I am no doctor thats for sure. There are sites
out there for lap surgery

hanks SassyNicole….I also know the expense in
having this surgery laparoscopic is considerably more.
From what I’ve found out, starting around $5000 more!
Way out of my pocketbook range and I suppose there is
no way of knowing if the insurance would pick that
extra $ up. I have looked a several sites for this
surgery and it looks so much less envasive! I am
hopefully having my surgery soon and perhaps with in the
coming year my husband will have his also and who knows,
by then it may be a common choice to have it done
laparoscopic! Thanks!
