   Hi, my name is Cindy Thompson and I live in San Antonio, Texas. On November
   12th I will be having the Rouen Y Gastric ByPass surgery for MO. It’s been a
   long travel road for me. I am 37 years only and from 1992 to 1999 I was in TOPS,
   Take Off Pounds Sensibly. This was of great support even though I didn’t get the
   end result that I wanted and this is to be a healthier person. After 1999 I just
   gave up on it all. My husband has had two kidney transplants and multiple
   surgeries that has needed all my attention and somewhere along the line I just
   got lost. Well about 2 years ago my mom mentioned to me about the GBP and that I
   should check into, because she didn’t want me going through all the stuff that
   she had. HP, Diabetes, HC and many other health issues. I talked to my husband
   about it and we decided it was to risky. But what we did not do at that time was
   do our research. But then in March of this year Mark, my husband was visiting
   our sister-in-laws family and they started talking about GBP surgery that one of
   the family members had last summer. Well this got Mark excited about researching
   and when he got home that evening he woke me up and told me all that he had
   
   learned. This is when I start thinking that maybe It was time I started taking
   care of me. So I went to my PCP and he referred me to the San Antonio Surgical
   Consultants for Bariatric Surgery. This was the best thing I have ever done. I
   started going to their support group, Staple Mates every 2nd Wednesday of the
   month and going to their website, sabariatrics.com and did my research and
   finally decided that this was what I wanted to do. Due to my health issues, HP,
   HC, Sleep Apnea, Previous Spinal Surgery, Hypothyroidism and being over 100 lbs
   overweight my PCP contacted the Surgeon and they were able to move up my seminar
   date. I truely believe that through this whole process, God is the one who’s
   been in control of all the specifics because for this to have happened so
   quickly, 9months of processing, it’s not really long at all. In only 2 and half
   weeks I will be recieving a gift from our Lord in which He has provided Dr.
   Steggeman with the ability to do this surgery.
