he support group meets at the Webber county
library every 3rd Wednesday and 7pm. There is also a
group at Davis Hospital on the 2nd Wednesday but I
don’t know anyone from that group.
I know Ogden is
way out of your way but I thought I’d ask…I’d still
like to get together one day, maybe lunch…maybe
BEFORE surgery so we could actually eat lunch,
hehehehe..just kidding…
let me know how you’re doing!

ep, I will be having my surgery at ST Marks.
Doggone it. It would have been nice to have surgery
together, maybe St. marks couldnt have handled both of us
at the same time…we would have been too rowdy for
them. where is your support group meeting? sounds
great, you will really like him! Keep me posted!!

i Terri, I just got a call from a support group
in my area and Dr. Halverson is going to be there as
a guest speaker on the 21st of April. I know its
way out of your way…but….if you’re interested?
Just let me know. Did you get a list of people in the
support groups from the clinic?
I got a list of lots
of people but unfortunately for me most of the
people are no longer attending these meetings due to
being 4-5 years post op and have "moved on" so to
speak. Most were very helpful and offered lots of
helpful hints and advice.
In regards to my insurance
(Tri Care Prime), I saw the doctor on March 13th
(Saturday) so I’m assuming the paperwork went out sometime
the following week. I got a call on Tuesday from his
office telling me that the insurance has the paperwork

and they would check back in 2 weeks if they hadn’t
gotten a response (argh! another 2 weeks, might as well
be 2 years!)no, patience is not one of my better
qualities…hehehehehe……
I think it would be sooo cool to know someone
while
I’m in the hospital, not that I suppose with as much
pain that we’d be in that would really want to be a
whole lot social!? hehehehe
Are you having your
surgery at St. Marks? If my insurance approves this, I’ll
be having the surgery at Cottonwood Hospital,
apparently the military insurance doesn’t contract with St.
Marks hospital but from what I understand Cottonwood
was the first place this surgery was done and that
the staff is great there. I actually had a choice of
LDS hospital and Cottonwood and then was told later
that Dr. Goodman prefers Cottonwood to LDS due to
travel time.
Well, as usual I’m babbling too much
again. I hope everyone out there is doing good! Ya’ll

MATTER OF FACT. i DO HAVE ONE OF DR. GOODMANS
ASSOCIATES,DR. HALVERSON. I HAVENT BEEN LOOKING YET FOR A
SUPPORT GROUP OUTSIDE OF CYBERSPACE BUT ITS ABOUT TIME,
NOW.. WHEN DID YOUR INSURANCE LETTER GO OUT? WE MAY END
UP IN THE HOSP. AT THE SAME TIME .THAT WOULD BE
GREAT, WE COULD DRAG OURSELVES DOWN THE HALL TOGETHER!!

ongratulations Terri. I am so happy for you! I
had no idea you’re from Salt Lake City. Are you
having Dr. Goodman do your surgery? (or one of his
associates?) I live in Utah also, just south of Ogden, good
grief, we’re almost neighbors!
I can’t wait to hear
more about your surgery and recovery, maybe we can
even meet sometime and share our stories! Have you
attended any support groups sessions? I just started
calling around, myself, to see which ones were still
meeting and where. I’m still waiting for the insurance to
say "yes or no" and I’m praying it will be "yes"!

Wow, I’m so excited for you and hope you’ll keep us
posted on the up coming events (sort of give me an idea
what I have to look forward to.)And I’m equally
excited about someone near me that might be able to give

me some first hand advice!
(not that I haven’t
APPRECIATED everyone else thats given me counsel!)Take care
now and keep focused on those new shorts!
