I’m doing a lot better
hanks to everyone’s concern. I am feeling a lot
better. I am now able to eat and drink like I am suppose
to. The doctor called be today personally, he just
got back from a surgical seminar and wanted to make
sure I was doing all right since I had been in the
hospital when he had to leave. I asked him if my
occasional nausia would ever go away, he said that it would
as my stomach heals. I was greatful for that because
I was constantly nausiated before surgery and was
hoping the proceedure would correct it. I am glad to
know that it will go away. I’m able to eat three times
a day and drink the amount of fluids that they
suggest. How much fluid and what kind doing any of you
consume? I am looking for some new ideas. A lot of the
juices make me sick in the stomach and so I drink mostly
water. I am open to any Ideas. Look forward to hearing
from all. Corinna

orinna, I had an opportunity to talk to a gal in
a support group near me and she gave me an idea for
a meal that sounded way out but when she told me
what it was suppose to taste like I thought I’d share
it with you (and anyone else that’s interested) When
you get bored to tears with the same old thing all
the time, she suggested you try this…
1/2 cup
low fat cottage cheese
topped lightly with your
favorite jar spagetti sauce and warm in a microwave. She
said it is wonderful and taste like lasagna!
Now I
would have never thought of anything like that in my
entire life! LOL…..
Anyway I just wanted to share
that with you!
Take care…Wendy

es I am eating soild food. I am doing a lot
better. For supper I had speg., some pickle and a cracker
with peanutbutter. I think I have determond the cause
of my sick stomach. I think it is because I am
hungry, I started getting sick about 5:00 pm and had
supper about 5:30 and I as soon as I started eating I
started feeling a lot better. I have read and heard that
you need to have a set schedule for meals, and it
should be the same time eat day. That is probly why they
say to eat ate the same time so you don’t get sick.
That sounds good. When I make lasagna I use
cottagecheese. I’m still having a difficult time finding things
to drink that doesn’t nausiate me except for water
any ideas let me know. Corinna

experience the same thing. I will post my
surgery experience after this one but just wanted to
touch up on this topic. I get extremely dizzy, nautious
(sp)if I do not eat. My doctor has recommended that I
eat six small meals a day. When I say meals, I mean
1/2 cup of cottage cheese or whatever…It sometimes
takes me longer to eat some things over the other. It
is when you do not eat you feel crappy so eat…And
everyday is different. I notice I am fine one day but not
the next but I am also 2 weeks post op, back at work
I might add.
