gratitude and affection

i everybody! I don’t really post much but I read
this board like a crazy woman! I am having my surgery
on Tuesday 4/13. My sister is having her surgery
tomorrow 4/12. I just wanted to thank each and every one
of you who take the time to care for me and each
other through your words on this board. It is
constantly amazing to me how much I care for you all and how
much I can feel your caring toward me, even though we
are really complete strangers. Kindred spirits, I
guess. I would not have had the courage to carry on and
go through with this enormous change in my life if
it hadn’t been for all of you. My eyes and my heart
are full as I prepare to take my journey to "the
other side".

My sister and I went to the Lone
Star Steak House last night with our families and had

a wonderful "last meal" — I was up with heartburn
and indigestion all night (grin)! I find that the
closer we get to surgery the calmer I get and the more
nervous she gets, which is a total switch for us.

Sorry for the sappy stuff, I just wanted to let
everybody know how much I appreciate you all, and hope to
be as helpful and supportive to others when I am a
"post-op success story".

Wendy, the "third pea",
good luck to you, dear, I know you have been so
encouraging to everybody on here that your surgery and
recovery have to be a breeze when all of the prayers work
their magic.

Say one for me, too. Love, Cheryl
