Hi Connie, Im considering the lap band, can you tell me how the
sugery and recover was for you. Im 23 and weigh in at 308. Most
likely will have the surgery done in jan,early feb, went for my 1st
psych appt last night. thanks so much!!

ello John,
My name is Connie and I live in
Kentucky. I had vertical banded gastroplasty in 97 and I
have lost 185 pounds. It has changed my life. It is
the less dangerous than some of the surgery
techniques that I had researched. Looked into "Fobi" pouch
and that was not for me, looked into bypass, another
no, then came across this surgery and decided it was
for me and I will never be the same. Be glad to

elcome to the group, I’m sure you will enjoy and
learn a lot; I sure have. Anything I can help to with I
will it make it a lot easier when you are not alone in
this adventure to the other side. I had surgery March
4, 1999 and my starting weight was 246 I am now 210
after 6 weeks, 36 pounds WOW.
