Hi to all

have been away for about a week and was sorry
to hear about Wendy, I hope all is well with her.
Welcome to all the new members, I am so glad to see you
all. I have had my share of "bad" things happen to me
since my surgery. I have had an incision infection
twice, which was treated easily, but I would not change
my decision at all. My weight was 246 before surgery
and many health problems to go along with the weight.
The biggest problem was breathing, asthma, and since
the day of the surgery I have not had any problem
breathing. My surgery (RNY) was March 4, 1999; I am 9 weeks
post-op and have lost 55 pounds. I can’t remember the
last time I weighed only that much, I think it was 5
years ago when I started gaining. I am feeling great
and my surgian has been more supportive than I could

ever ask for. I agree we all need to be informed
"consumers" when making a decision such as this and if it
wasn’t for everyone’s feedback no one would make it
through as well as we have. I thank everyone that has
given me information before and after my surgery. It
allowed me a better insight of what to look foreward to.
There is a lot of information we can give each other
that no doctor can only because we have been there an
have went through the surgery as the patient, and
everyone is different. Thank you to all that have helped
me and I hope that I can help any and all the new
members.<br>God Bless and Take Care Corinna

catch up on all the postings as I can since I
am back to work my time at the computer is short. I
    am 10 weeks post-op Mar. 4, 1999 and down 60#. I
still get tired when I am on my feet to long at work.
Wendy, welcome back!!! I missed hearing from you. I made
the misstake of eating some cake that my daughter
baked for mothers day and as everyone else I got sick,
but did not throw-up only nausea. I rested awhile and
then I felt better. I go back to the doctor Friday for
a follow up visit. My doctor will see me once a
month for the first year. Good luck to all those trying
and don’t give up it is worth the battle with the
insurance co. We can’t let them run our lives. Corinna
