Granny,

My name is Sharon and I am 5 weeks post-op. I was really scared before my
surgery, but I knew, that I had to do it. I have only lost 30 pounds, but am
amazed but how much better I feel and at some of the things I can do already
that were very difficult for me before or impossible. 30 little pounds and I
can sit on the side of the tub and shave my legs...I can sorta cross my
legs...When I get up in the morning I can walk without hobbling around for
the 1st hour....I can't wait until 50 pounds, 100 pounds and then 150
pounds....I can't wait to see what I can do then.

Well, I haven't had surgery yet, but I'm alittle scared. I've had
alot of surgeries in my life and I dread the after affects. But I'm
in so much pain I can't go on like this. I am 56 married to a very
understanding husband when it comes to weight. I've been fat since I
was 6 years old. I am now a diabetic, have severe arterides I have to
use a walker or cane now. I can't do anything including wiping my!!!!!
Can someone tell me how they feel about the surgery? I really need
someone to talk to that has been there. Thanks Granny

Hello everyone. It sure is nice to read about
everyones progress. How great as well to see so many new
people attempting to learn more about WLS and those of
you soon to have surgery. Good luck to everyone. I
sure feel wonderful at this point and I hope that soon
you all will as well. Take care....Debra

Sorry I haven't posted in such a while. I haven't
even been on the computer lately. I want to send
congrats to all of you that have been approved lately.
Best wishes who are still struggling with the
insurance approvals.
Laura,
Make sure you are getting
all the vitamens that you need to keep your energy
up.
Michelle,
I had the 'pee like I am
pregnant' feeling too, but it went away after I upped my
liquids and stayed that way for a little while. :)
It
is the extra liquid that your body is holding onto.
I know it sounds crazy, but if you drink a lot, you
won't bloat up... if you don't ... you
will...
That's what my dr. said. :)
Take care all of you and
I am so pleased to hear of all the weight loss!
:)
I am still happily content with my plateau... I am

at 146 and very happy, my dr. said that since I am
6', not to worry about loosing any more.
God Bless
you all.
Lisa Boone
