Hi everyone
i all! Just thought I’d post a couple of lines
to say hello and that I’m still alive! I am just
over 8 weeks post op and creeping up on 55 pounds lost
(by my scales). I am hoping to lose at least another
20 pounds by August 14th when I fly home to
California for the birth of my first granddaughter. Buying
an airline ticket was something I never ever would
of thought of doing just a few short months ago
because of the horrible embarrassment of trying to
squeeze into one of those stupid 11 inch wide airline
seats!<br>Now who do you know besides a child that has an 11
inch backside?! LOL…..<br>"Losing" almost 55 pounds
has "gained" me a ton of confidence too! My whole
attitude about my new life style changes has given me a
new lease on life and I look forward to each day with
new hope and looking forward to meeting my goals. The
old cravings for sweets have left me and I hope I
never have them again. I must admit though that since
my weight loss program does not allow me any breads,
pasta, rice, potatoes, that I really do miss having some
of those carbos once in a while, but at least I have
something to look forward to again when I finally reach the
maintenance part of my program and I can have those carbos
again in limited quantities. It will be a true test of
my will power when I do go home in August and not to
go outside my diet plan for some of those goodies
that I can only get in California!<br>For all you pre
ops out there, my heart goes out to you. Sometimes
the waiting is worse than the actual surgery! For
those of you that are having a difficult time getting
approved, please don’t give up hope! God always opens a
window somewhere when we think He’s closed the
door….<br>To all the post ops, I hope you are doing well. We
have so much support to share with everyone and each
one of us has a different story to share!<br>God
bless everyone and be well!<br>Wendy….Clearfield,

Sorry I haven’t posted in such a while. I haven’t
even been on the computer lately. I want to send
congrats to all of you that have been approved lately.
Best wishes who are still struggling with the
insurance approvals.<br>Laura,<br>Make sure you are getting
all the vitamens that you need to keep your energy
up. <br>Michelle,<br>I had the ‘pee like I am
pregnant’ feeling too, but it went away after I upped my
liquids and stayed that way for a little while. :)<br>It
is the extra liquid that your body is holding onto.
I know it sounds crazy, but if you drink a lot, you
won’t bloat up… if you don’t … you
will…<br>That’s what my dr. said. :)<br>Take care all of you and
I am so pleased to hear of all the weight loss!
:)<br>I am still happily content with my plateau… I am
at 146 and very happy, my dr. said that since I am
6′, not to worry about loosing any more.<br>God Bless
you all. <br>Lisa Boone

Well, I haven’t had surgery yet, but I’m alittle scared. I’ve had
alot of surgeries in my life and I dread the after affects. But I’m
in so much pain I can’t go on like this. I am 56 married to a very
understanding husband when it comes to weight. I’ve been fat since I
was 6 years old. I am now a diabetic, have severe arterides I have to
use a walker or cane now. I can’t do anything including wiping my!!!!!
Can someone tell me how they feel about the surgery? I really need
someone to talk to that has been there. Thanks Granny

Granny,
My name is Sharon and I am 5 weeks post-op. I was really scared before my
surgery, but I knew, that I had to do it. I have only lost 30 pounds, but am
amazed but how much better I feel and at some of the things I can do already
that were very difficult for me before or impossible. 30 little pounds and I
can sit on the side of the tub and shave my legs…I can sorta cross my
legs…When I get up in the morning I can walk without hobbling around for
the 1st hour….I can’t wait until 50 pounds, 100 pounds and then 150
pounds….I can’t wait to see what I can do then.
