i everyone, i just got home from the hospital/
Had some trouble. i had to have another Upper GI, and
I had to have a liver Cat Scan. to check my liver,
I am still having trouble passing gas. I started on
dieluted juices yesterday and will be on them for about
2-3 weeks before i can add in any food. Well folks I
have to go get some rest. vert trued, wukk posted

am so anxious to see when I will OR if I will
get approved…. I had my appointment with my regular
physician today to give me my clearance for the surgery….
Yippee! My psych appointment is next Friday… After
that, I call and schedule my surgery. Goodness I am so
excited. Did everyone feel this excited or is it just me.
I also found out today, that I am no longer
5′10"… I am 5′8"… can extra weight make a person
shrink… the nurse probably didn’t do it correctly.<br> Oh

lad to hear your doing well…Do keep up posted. I am now waiting to hear if
Tri-Care approves my surgery. I am driving my poor husband NUTS!! I will let
ya’ll know as soon as I get my phone call!

I joined a few days ago but did not have time to
say thanx. <br><br>What types of surgery are there
for obesity - I am 5′5" and aprox 280 lbs (last time
I cheched - four months ago). I am so tired, and
have no more flexibility. I am looking for something
with the lowest side effects, something that may even
be reverseable if complications arise. However, I am
desperate, so any suggestions will be looked

ey everyone…Ok I will try not to ramble on
forever here!! First of all let me say I loved my doctor
today. My husband was impressed by him as well. Hes very
willing to do my surgery. His main concern was, and hes
not familar with Tri-Care Prime, is that I do not
have any documented medical problems. Of course he
agreed that my list of aches and pains and problems are
all weight related. He just was not sure since in the
15 years that I have been over weight that I had not
gone to the doctor for leg aches, or back aches, heart
burn etc etc etc if they will approve. Wendy, I did
tell him that you had some info saying that if you are
200% over ideal weight they will. I sure wish I had my
hands on that!!!!!! So with that in mind, I am 5′1" and
weigh 240….I should be 200% over ideal weight, huh?!

k…finally the months wait has passed and I
will go for my first visit to the doctor tomorrow.
Well actually its my second…you may recall I got
sent to the wrong one first time around. I just
printed out my list of questions and another list of
aches and pains. This board has been full of
information and has had so many suggestions…I feel heavily
armed and prepared for tomorrow. Thanks everyone…and
I will post as soon as I get back home!!!
had my first appointment today. Things went
great… I asked the doctor several questions. He hasn’t
killed anyone so far… That was a biggie for me. <br>okay, serious now…I have a phsyc appointment for
Monday to make sure that I am not crazy or have an
eating disorder… H-E-L-L-O!!! I am OBESE… OF COURSE
I HAVE A EATING DISORDER… It’s called EATING TOOO
MUCH!! At least I can joke about it… about two
months ago, I don’t think I could have.<br>Where was
I?… Oh yes, I also have an appointment with my
regular doctor to say that I am in good enough condition
for the surgery. When I am done with my appointments
next week, I can call back to the doctors office to
schedule my surgery.. YES! I’ll keep you posted!
ust wanted to let everyone know that even after
almost two years after having surgery….I still do
stupid things. We went away for the weekend and my
husband tried to be nice and bought me a big gooey cherry
sweet roll. Of course, I had to eat it….old habits
die hard. But, just so everyone will know….I also
spent Saturday night throwing up in the bathroom. These
sweet items are just NOT worth it, but like I said old
habits die hard. Someday I will learn. Wendy:
