I assume this photo album may be used by all club members. I am wondering why I
only see me in it? Have I made an error and was I supposed to enter my pic
somewhere else?

apron

Tuesday, April 29th, 2003

At my size I already have an apron…of fat. I
feel also at my age…42…that its not likely to go
away with weight loss alone. Dee your young and
perhaps your skin will shrink back. My personal opinion
is…I have dealt with this huge apron of fat…when I
finally lose with weight I think I will deal ok with what
skin is left there. I realize it is gross to most but
I’m done having children, I’m past the bikini age,
I’ve been married forever to a man that has loved me
while I weigh 235 pounds I just feel certain that if I
can handle the skin that is left he will be ok with
it as well. I will say however that if it is a
problem in anyway…such as creating a rash or
whatever…then I will check into a tummy tuck.

update

Monday, April 28th, 2003

Today made exactly 4 weeks since I had my open
RNY. I have lost down from 235 to 205. I am happy with
that as its nice to know those pounds I will not be
gaining back. I am still feeling rather weak…taking a
nap every day. Staying in the house way too
much..just cant take this heat. But all in all I feel I am
doing ok with this. The only problem I have had is
being nauseated and getting the dry heaves…I am still
trying to deal with it and waiting on it to pass. I know
I can not be feeling perfect after only 4 weeks so
for now I am taking one day at a time!!

stomach size, apron?

Sunday, April 27th, 2003

This is a question for post-ops.
Any of you
had a lot of weight in your stomach area? If so, do
you have to have a tummy tuck or does it seem to
shrink with your weight loss?
I am worried about
having this huge apron.
thanks,
Dee

Doing great

Saturday, April 26th, 2003

Hi everyone. sorry for taking so long to post
after surgery, but have been really tried, and very
busy. I am finally back to work full time. and I feel
great. I walk twice a day, for an hour each time. I am
not having a trouble with the food I am eating. I
have only thrown up once, but I forgot to chew my
food. Hard lesson to learn. I haven’t lost any of my
hair. I take 3 chewable vitimuns and a 500 mg b12
everyday, and I drink lots of water and juice. I have a
hard time remembering to eat at the times the Doctor
has set up for the next 6 months. If I had to do this
again I would. I have lost 40 lbs already, just 66lbs
to go. Take care everyone and thank
you.

Donna
pre-op 222lb
post-op 182lbs
Dr. Donald

New

Friday, April 25th, 2003

Hi All,
I’m new to here. Not sure if I’m doing
this right. I’m from Ohio. I’m trying to have WLS. I
didn’t have PCP. Finally found one that will see me In
Aug for the letter I need. But the ready I been doing
on this. Looks like people have hard time getting
aproved. I was about to give up since I had such hard time
finding pcp. I feel like this is my only hope though. I
have been heavy all my life. I’m on disability and get
medcare card. I’m not sure how easy that is to get them
to pay for it. Does anyone know if that is possible?
Is their anyone to make this easier so you don’t
have to fight so hard to get approved? Who decides
which surgery you have? I’ve read on them all. My
family and friends are very supported of my decision. I
got to tell ya I’m scared though. I failed at all my
