George: Your advice was right on target. I think
everyone second-quesses their decision about having gone
through with this surgery. I know I cried for weeks. I am
fast approaching my second year post-op and I would
have the surgery again in a minute. The secret is just
as you stated….take things SLOW!!!!! We are
actually retraining ourselves to eat properly, something
we have never done before. Once we learn that food
is no longer the center of our universe, all things
fall into line. Keep the good advice
coming…..everyone needs a refresher course….even me after all
this time.

Helen
Surgery: August 14, 1997 @
