I’m from Norfolk and scheduled for an open rny on
8-31-1999. There are a few others in our area that I have
seen on the OSSG at Onelist. There is also a support
group that meets at Sentara Leigh every month. Have you
been to that? Who is your surgeon and where will you
have your surgery? Mine is Dr. Doxey and surgery will
be done at Sentara Leigh. I am here to be a friend
because its good to talk things over with someone going
through the same process.
Linda B.

Lisa, it’s great to hear you sounding so strong
and psoitive. What[’s happening with you now? Are you
on "full liquids" or what? Glad to hear that your
pain is so much in control. How’s the
baby?
blessings,
Ann

Ann,
I am doing pretty well. I went to the
commisarry with Adam today and was able to walk with him the
whole time. I haven’t really been in any pain, I just
get tired sometimes. Those afternoon naps really help
out! I am on clear liquids right now. I can’t seem to
quench my thirst, but hopefully that will pass.
I was
able to get in 48 oz. of water in today. (I guess I’ll
be peeing tomorrow) lol
The baby (Elijah) is
doing great. I nurse him while I lay down on my side.
It works out great for both of us.
I hope
everything is doing great with you. Take care and God
bless!
Lisa B.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I’m still
trying out all the bells and whistles on the computer.
We just got online in June. I’m 46, F 5′4 304 lbs,
BMI:52. One interesting development today. All along, I
have shared with a few friends, my husband and my
family what I was going to do (the surgery) and all have
been supportive, except for my mom who has been very
worried. But tonight when talking with her I got the
impression she’s changed her opinion. I think she’s still
worried but she sees that it will be a positive change
for me. Hope all is going well for you. Note you
added me to your friend list. That’s great!
