<description>Today I ordered some protein powder online to get ready. Maybe I
should start now. Or try

The nutritionist I saw recommended 1 to 2 weeks of liquid diet pre-op.
She said when you overeat carbs, your liver blows up - and since I,m
having lapro. the surgeon has to move it out of the way and it's
difficult. She said if you do the liquid, it will shrink back to
normal size and there are less chances for complications.

And to Chrissy - who just had her surgery - congrats -was it lapro?
I wish you a speedy healing.

I guess I do need to talk

<description>Hi, I just joined. My bypass is scheduled for December 3rd. I can't
wait. I can't stop eating. Did anyone else have this problem? I am
out of control. I don't know why - before I was the perpetual
dieter. HELP! It's really worrying me.

		<description>Hi George,&#60;br&#62;&#60;br&#62;Thank's for the welcome. I'm
going through the BTC. Just waiting now till I go see
the pcp. Hoping he will write the letter for me that
they are wanting saying this is Medically necassory. I
found another Dr that does it in my area. They called
to set up appoinment with me. But I can't fine
anything on him. I just don't want any Dr.&#60;br&#62;&#60;br&#62;I think
I'm going to fo for the RNY. I will decide that after
I talk to the Dr. Hopefully I wont need no lawyer.
But thanks for the info. I will keep him in mind.
It's shame that it takes so long to have this done and
you have to fight insurance company for it.
&#60;br&#62;&#60;br&#62;Thanks for writing back and the welcome&#60;br&#62;&#60;br&#62;Teresa</description>

<description>Welcome to the group. Don't ever stop fighting.
it took me a year and a half and four different
insurances companies to finally get my surgery done. My
surgon does accept medicare/medicaid. but unfortunately
he has stopped taking out of state medi/medi, he is
in California. I too researched several different
surgeries prior to deciding on the Fobi Pouch and i am very
happy with my choice. &#60;br&#62;&#60;br&#62;You are the one who has
to decide which surgery you can live with. Each one
is different and you will have to live with
somethings like &#34;dumping&#34; if you get the bypass. If you had
GI surgery of any kind before, the doctor might
suggest you go with an other surger type but the ultimate
choice is yours to make.&#60;br&#62;&#60;br&#62;If you or anyone has had
a terrible experience with the insurance companies
&lt;!--more--&gt;
you can get legal help. the best one i know is Walter
( i keep forgetting his last name) just go to
