Obesity surgery

Hey everyone…Just wanted to let you know that
today made exactly two weeks since my surgery. I am for
the most part doing really good. Just yesterday and
today however nausea has set in…I am told that it
will pass. Hope so…doesnt make getting that vitamin
down very easy! For those of you waiting on
surgery…gosh I was driving my husband nuts counting down those
days. But the important thing is…You do have approval
and a date and hey its down hill from there. For
those of you waiting on insurance approval…well I was
awful during that stage as well. Its like time stood
still and I was so worried that it wasnt going to
happen for me. So I certainly wish the best of luck to
you all…I know that dreadful feeling of watching
the calendar and clock. Just know that us post-ops

do I have any recourse when I qualify for the procedure 100% and yet I can’t get
a primary care physician to refer me?

to all new members. I too am fairly new
to this site and look forward to reading the new
posts’ each day. Lately there hasn’t been too much on
sooo maybe it is time for the newcomers to get
acquainted.I live in Southern IL and I have been trying to get
insurance approval for 5 weeks (but who is counting right)
Waiting is the pits.I need to loose about 175 lbs - but
would be thrilled to loose 150.I have never found
anyone in the chat room - so if anyone would like to
make arrangements to meet, I would love it.Best to you

Lisa tomorrow is your BIG day and I wanted to
send my best wishes your way!! As you may remember…I
just had my surgery on the 1st so we are pretty close
together on this. I am happy to report that so far I am
able to tolerate everything that I’m allowed to eat at
this point. I have only puked once…that was my first
day home. The diarrehea has slowed down…not stopped
but I am coping!! All in all…11 days post op I fell
I am doing well. Still cant get all the fluid
down…I know everyone says DRINK DRINK DRINK….and I am
trying!!! Anyway…best wishes and as Wendy said….LISTEN
TO YOUR DOCTOR…thats what I am doing…hes the one
I will have to answer to!! We will be anxiously
awaiting your return….GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Thank you for your support. I am very anxious
right now. I have to keep telling myself to calm down.
I have been feeling a little queezy this morning.
Probably due to nerves. UGH!<br>I am ready for tomorrow.
(I guess as ready as I am going to be).<br>I am

Hi Lisa, your time grows closer, less than 48
hours away! I just wanted you to know that I’m praying
for you and a speedy recovery! I hope you know how
much I’ve been rooting for you and getting approved by
Tri Care, I’m just sorry for you it took them so long
to make up their minds.<br>I want you to know that
you could be a million miles away but I’m here for
moral support or any other kind of help ANY TIME you
need it, so don’t hesitate to ask. I don’t have all
the answers to the questions, but if I don’t then you
feel confident that someone else here can help. Just
keep in mind one thing, the first person you need to
ask help from is your doctor, but I’m sure you
already know that….*grin*!<br>Don’t forget to take your

There is never anyone in the chat room so I am
wondering if there is something I am supposed to do to
"activate" it. <br><br>It says something about a list of
friends so I put in some of the names from the message
list. Is there something else I am supposed to
do?<br><br>I would appreciate any help. I am not too great on

Just wanted to let everyone know about how its
been exactly one week later since my surgery. Well I
survived so far!! It has been a pretty rough week but
looking back now I see that I’ve been thru alot for the
short while. I really didn’t want to leave the hospital
but the doctor felt it was time to go. So my first
day home I did puke and thought I would die and still
dont know what I did wrong. I think it was the
combination of the ride home, having to take that liquid
antibotic almost as soon as I got here plus it was time to
drink liquids and I guess I did too much too soon or
something. Dont want to make that mistake again however!
Been eating soft foods now for two days and so far
everything has stayed down…such as grits, macaroni and
cheese, cottage cheese and peaches, apple sauce and such.
