BIB

Hi all. I’m new here. I was wondering if anyone
has had any experience with the BIB procedure. I
don’t even know if this is done in the U.S. I read
about it on a British site. I don’t know what BIB
stands for but it involves inflating a balloon after
insertion in stomach with 400 to 800 ccs of saline.
Obviously the balloon, in theory, displaces room that would
otherwise be stuffed with food. Comments????

    Goodness… No, I have never heard of that.. .But
    it does sound relatively safe… I mean, if the
    balloon would ever burst, you would just be digesting
    saline water. Not too bad, one would think. I wish I
    could offer something. Have you looked under BIB on the
    web? Goodluck with your search. :)
