YIPEE!!! 4 WEEK UPDATE
Hi,<br>I haven’t posted much .<br>But, I had an
open rny with galbladder removal and hernia repair on
Oct 5th.<br>I’ve had only one complication so far and
that was my inscision coming apart in my navel
area.<br>But, it’s healing, and just a little drainage.<br>I
went to my surgeon on Tuesday wich was four weeks
since surgery. I have gone from 371lbs to 336lbs.<br>I
was thrilled and that makes all the aches and pains
worth it.<br>For those of you having a hard time
remember that it gets better everyday.<br>And a few months
from now we will all feel normal again.<br>The only
thing I don’t like is I’m still on puree diet until

Good job, Dee!! I have a question for you and any other post-ops (open rnys)
out there–How long is your scar? And where exactly is

Tammy,<br>My scar runs frombetween my breasts (at
the point where my bra stops) to 1 1/2 inches above
my navel. But i was also ucky… I had already had a
scar in the same pace and the doc "fixed" my old scar!
Before my kids used to tease me and say I had 2
belly-buttons… becasue of the puckering of the skin… BUT NO
MORE, just an ugly red line… which will whiten with
age!

Hi Tammy,<br>my scar is from right below my
breast bone done to the bottom of my navel.<br>It is
about 12 inches long.<br>But, I had a hernia repair
thats why it is through my navel.<br>Anymore Questions
