nancy, thanks for the info but this website you
offered is a waste of time. it doesnt offer any other
contact info like an email option or a telephone number.
Im put off by having to write to a company to get
nutritional info on a product and pricing when they fail to
offer it upfront. This is a poor website.
If you
plan on ordering it, how did you find out of its
protein content? Its not on the website.

I had always had nice thick hair too and when it
started to fall out I was a little overwhelmed. I was
told to make sure and use a protien based shampoo.
Also was told I could take brewer's yeast tablets and
this would slow down the hair loss. However, this hair
loss only lasted about six months and then it started
coming back in as full and as thick as ever. If you can
stand to just wait it out, you will notice your hair
returning in no time. It isn't a permanent loss. Pretty
hard to cope with, though, when for a lot of us our
hair was our crowning glory. Keep Strong....Helen

I went to see the dietician yesterday and asked
her about the hairloss. She stated that I need to
make sure I was taking all of my vitamins which I was
not doing. My surgeon just emphasized the children's
chewable after surgery. However, now I am also taking
B-12, calcium, and iron. I hope this helps and I
encourage you to talk to your dietician also.Kris

I am 3 months post op. I am in tears everytime I
take a shower and handfuls of hair falls out. Its
getting thin in the back of my head and I cant believe
it. I cut it short to help a little but it didnt. I
eat more protein then I can stomach and I dont know
what to do. I may have been fat but Ive always had
beautiful hair. Now what am I gonna do? Any advise?

Robbi:

I'm pre-op also (11/22/99), but
I've heard that even if you lose some hair, it grows
back. So I'm not that worried about it. I would say
just try to get all your protein in & take your
vitamins.

Tammy
