It should be fine. The sooner the better! I know
I could tell a difference in the way I felt just a
day or two after I began my meds. It gives me more
energy and stamina. Of course I'm so used to it now that
I don't notice it.
Good luck! Melissa

Tammy... like MElissa said don't worry about
being hypothyroid. I am still on my synthroid 4 months
post op and everythings doing well. But she is correct
about it affecting your metabolisma and healing
properties. Just be careful and remember to take your pills.
:)
Good Luck!
Lisa B.

Tammy, don't spaz about being hypothyroid. I was
diagnosed 6 yrs ago with autoimmune hypothyroidism(which
means that not only does my thyroid not function
properly, but I'm also allergic to the gland itself). But
believe me, it's not a big deal. I take one tiny little
pill every day and it's taken care of. My doctor also
said that the surgery will not be effected by it. (I'm
still waiting for insurance approval)
It is a good
idea to get on the meds ASAP so your body has time to
adjust to them. Thyroid does play a big part in your
healing ability and metabolism too.
Take
care!
Melissa
