Surgery Postponed
Well earlier today I reported that my surgery
date had been moved to Dec. 13th. Well it now has been
postponed until at least Jan. 10th. Not the most pleasant
news but at least I still have my approval and I WILL
HAVE THIS SURGERY.

Bob Johnson

Not that this will make it easier for you but Id
like to share this with you… my surgeon was also a
transplant surgeon and I was cancelled and rescheduled 7
times before it actually happened. twice it was within
an hour of surgery.Every time they claimed they were
sorry for my frustration. I feel they should be held
somehow accountable when you have so much to juggle when
planning a hospital stay. My mother drove 6 hours from Las
Vegas, I had a temp trained to take over at work, and so
on. The worst part is that the night before is so
tension filled that you dont sleep a wink and suffer from
heartburn or whatever. Its very unfair.

Bob, I know its frustrating, but think of it this
Laura
way.. the holidays will be out of the way. The waiting
is the hardest part, Tom Petty wasn’t kidding when
he said that, but you’ll get through this.

Thanks Laura,

I just received a call from
the doc’s office
confirming that I am scheduled
for Jan 10th
at 7:30a. After the call I called my
wife and
we are going to take a trip between the
holidays.
Leave the kids with grandma and just get away. Sounds
better than surgery to me.
