Suggestions/Ideas for Pureed Foods
Can anyone give me suggestions and/or ideas for
pureed foods? Currently, my Mom (who is doing most of
the grocery shopping) insists that I can only eat
Baby food (GAG!!!).<br><br>I know that I can have
applesauce, soups, yogurt, etc. but I would really like to
expand my menu options.<br><br>Thanks ![]()

GET WAY FROM THE BABY
FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<br>My doctor said NO NO NO!!! it is loaded in fats, and
sugars and that is NOT good for you! You didn’t mention
how post op you are so I don’t want to tel you too
much, but try creamy soups, brothy VEGGIE soups, (my
personal fav was egg drop soup from the chinese rest. and
french onion!) You can have a small amount of mashed
potatoes… cooked carrots (so you can moosh them in the
eating process) and really my doc said any cooked
veggies except legumes (peas and beans) and corn because
they are hard to digest and my insides were still
healing. After 8 weeks I could have all veggies, cooked
and raw! Aslo protein shakes made at home are great!
I loved fat free milk, with Frozen banana slices
and a frozen strawberry and a scoop of dry milk (more
protein) and a spoonful of strawberry banana yogurt
(fat-free)lastly you can sweeten as needed with nutrasweet (the
blue stuff) and VOILA’..insta shake! as I could handle
more I also added some fat-free/sugar-free vanilla ice
cream as a treat to make it more like a dessert!<br>I
hope this has helpded… but definately LOOSE the
babyfood… you need ot learn how to EAT the right way… and
you are not going to do that eating babyfood… hell
when my kids were babies, the only time I used that
was when we were not near home to let them eat
something I prepared… you wouldn’t believe the SHIT that
goes in that "good stuff"<br>Cindy aka gonna_doit_this

Cindy,<br>My Dr. said the exact opposite.. I was
on baby foods for about two months. I always read
the lables to make sure there was no added sugar. I
think the most they added on some of the foods was
citric acid to maintain freshness.<br>Well, I am finally
back from Christmas Vacation. I feel great. :)<br>I
missed you guys. :)<br><br>Lisa Boone<br>RNY
