Comments on: Surgery date set for 2-16-00

Hi!
I’m not sure what your name is but I
noticed that Dr. Yates is your doctor, too. I had surgery
with him on Aug. 16, 1999 and have lost 81 lbs. He is
a very nice man and I am very happy with his
handiwork!
I’ll bet you are getting so excited!! It’s
only a month away. I saw Dr. Yates yesterday and was
told they are going to be moving their offices and
surgery to Forrest Park Hospital very soon. So soon that
they said my appointment next month could be changed
to that location.
I am a member of a St. Louis
Area support group you might be interested in. We have
32 members which I consider pretty good since we
have only been around for 3 months. We get together
once a month and have an absolute ball!!!
We are
planning to get together 2 x’s a month, one time being

some sort of activity like bowling etc. and the other
at a restraunt just to talk. We are strictly a peer
support group, and do not have speakers or anything like
that. If you are interested in us, you can e-mail me
and I will send you an invitational link to visit the
site.
I told Dr. Yates about the site yesterday
and he seemed very interested. He is setting up a
clothing exchange for his patients and that would be one
way to get the word out.
Would love to hear from
you. I know only2 or 3 other people from Il. who have

Congratulations to you kittykat. Now we both have to concentrate on being
prepared for the surgery. Hope yours is a success with no complications. Keep in

Hi Dbl D32,
I want to say congratulations on
your surgery date. I finally got mine too which is the
day before yours. I am also excited and nervous at
the same time. All I have to do is go for my
pre-admission testing and not gain any weight before then. Talk
to you soon.
