Maura,

Hi! My name is Diane, I live way up
in Western Md and looking forward to having the
surgery done. Dr. Marcus is one of the doctors I am
considering, along with Dr Magnuson. My doctor is now looking
into the procedure I will need to go through to get an
appointment and start things rolling. I am worried about
having to travel down there so much, my husband does not
like to travel at all in the "big city". I told him
that I was going to have it done if I had to go by
myself. Are you from around there, or did you have to
travel. How long ago did you have your surgery. Are you
sorry? I can’t wait, I am so miserable. Thank you so
much. I am really glad that I found this support group.
Reading the messages has really got me anxious.

Hi. I had my distal RNY with Dr. William Marcus
in Silver Spring Maryland. I don’t know if he is
closer to you. He has a large bi-monthly support group
where you can speak with others who’ve had the surgery
by him. He also has an on-line supportgroup on
Onelist.

this wonderful group. You’re gonna love it here.
Everyone is so warm and welcoming. I have been here for a
year now. I still can’t believe that last time this
year I had just found out about this wonderful surgery
and wonderful support group, and now almost 150 #
later, I am finally for the first time in a long while,
actually within my height/weight range. YIPPEE!!! You will
be here too… soon!
