Obesity surgery

I haven’t gone through what you have, but I was
able to (and am still ) nurse Elijah throughout my
operation. I worked with the lactation consultant at the
hospital and we found med’s that wouldn’t be transmitted.
I was on an epidural for pain and didn’t receive
post op meds.. so don’t let the nursing stop you if
you want to re-do the operation… diet pills and
nursing… I agree with you.. the two just don’t mix ..
as for the dr. delema… keep trying… do you have
any complications… besides the not loosing weight,
maybe a "comlication" could be an excuse for them to do
something about it… as for something being ‘messed up’..
you would think the dr. would want to check to make
sure everything was in place… hmmm… all I can do
is pray that everything is okay and that after a

Hi, I’m 27, female, from Australia and am
considering Gastric Banding, I would like to talk to anyone
who has had this done in the past year or so. I would
also like to know if there is a support group in

I have a 3/10/00 consult date with Dr. Brolin of
St. Peter’s Hospital in NJ. I have many good
recommendations for this Dr. Even my friend in Dallas, TX said
her Dr. spit his name out when she mentioned Dr.s in
NJ.<br><br>Wish me luck. I wish it was sooner but they are very
busy there.<br><br>I’ll keep you all posted.

I had my first initial consultation today and am
free and clear to have the RNY. Hopefully my insurance
will cover it. I felt very comfortable in the BTC
office and the staff and surgeon were very inviting of
questions.<br>I’ll be on pins and needles until I know

Ive just posted my day of, 4 week and 7 week
photos. the 7 week photos look like Im bigger then the 4
week ones do but its only becasue my husband stood in
a different place when he took the photo. Id really
lost 19 pounds and 3 inches. Just thought Id share
since Im just beeming.

Hi everyone haven’t been on in a while Just
wanted to let everyone know my date is finally set. I’m
excited yet a little nervous at the same time. Now all I
have to do is complete my pre-op testing and my psych
evaluation and i’m on my way. I’ll keep in touch. Anyone

Hi everyone! Been a while since I posted, but
just wanted to get some imput. By the way…at 5 wks
post I am 31 lbs down. 261 dwn to 230!!!
Yeah!!!<br><br>Ok…post op depression…who here has suffered from this?
I am BAD!!! LOL<br>Spoke with my Dr in ref to the
problems I am having again and he was very nice this time.
He told me that I need to see my therapist that I
got my eval from. According to him, my hormone levels
are dropping through the floor which could be the
reason for the headaches. He also said that I am NOT
crazy, but that b/c of the rapid weight loss and changes
there is a chemical imbalance that only meds will help.
So…..Off to see the psych tomorrow night at 6pm. Hopefully
I will start feeling better then. <br><br>Thanks
