thanks so much for all the advice.I have done
everything you said…im hoping that when the surgeons
office calls the medical director tomorrow he will
reconsider after reading my appeals letter that i sent him
this morning…oh well we will see…but im not going
to give up on this….ill fight til the end…

Hi! Did you do a diet history listing the dates
you were on the diet, what diet you did, what you
lost and what you regained? My insurance company
required 2 years in a row. I luckily have a weight loss
buddy who remembered most of the stuff, and I
approximated what I couldn’t remember. Also, does your doctors
office have a prescription sheet for you, what drugs you
took, the refills, etc. It helped me jog my
memory.
Try to put that together with a letter saying that
you are afraid you will be dead in another year, and
(use this especially if you took redux or phenphen, or
metabolife, the stuff that had ppa the herbal stuff that can
cause stroke) that you refuse to take any more diet
drugs because of the danger of them. Fax it to them
(find out to who’s attention to fax it to so you are

dealing with 1 person) and get a persons name and number
to deal phone wise directly with them. Call again
and again and put some steam under them.

HI…IM A NEW MEMEBER IN HERE…IVE BEEN TRYING
TO GET AN APPROVAL FROM CIGNA HMO OF FLORIDA FOR 8
WEEKS NOW.I JUST GOT A DENIAL FROM THEM TODAY AND THEY
ARE TRYING TO TELL ME THAT I NEED TO DO A SUPERVISED
DIET WITH A PHYSICIAN FOR 12 MONTHS.I CANT BELIEVE
THEY WANT ME TO DO THAT.PLEASE TELLME WHAT TO
DO….THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.IVE DONE ALL OF THE DIETS
SUPERVISED AND OTHERWISE…AND THEY HAVE ALL THE
PAPERWORK…

I will be there for you whenever I can. I will
e-mail you on Monday when hopefully I can go down the
steps by my boyfriends mom’s house. Right now I am by
my boyfriends house(Bob). He doesn’t have as many
steps to get to the computer. I will talk to you soon.

Hi this is kittykat. If you would like to talk I

much to talk to you. My boyfriend is on-line more than
me since I am still recooperating. He would come and
get me if necessary. My boyfriend is also a very good

surgery Feb. 15, and doing better every day. You can also
