New to the group :)
Hello!<br>I am new to the group. My sister is
going to be getting this surgery as long as she gets a
referral from her doctor (which should not be a problem).
When she first told me what she was thinking of doing,
I was very scared for her and really didn’t want
her to do it. However, after learning more about the
surgery and knowing our family history, I would say it is
going to be the best thing she could do, and I will
support her decision and help her in any way I can.<br>
She took me to an informational group yesterday at
the hospital she would like to have this done at and
I figured that I would get weighed since I was
there. Well, the RN that weighed me said that I would be
a good candidate for the surgery myself! She told
me that I would need to get a referral and I am not
sure if they would refer me. I have had the experience
in the past where I have begged doctors to help me
(yes begged!)lose weight and they told me to eat right
and exercise. If anyone out there is around my
height/weight, I would love to hear from you!!! I am 5ft 8in and
