Hi gang...about the aspartame thing...I am not sure if
the article is true or not. I do know that my surgeon
has forbidden any carbonated drinks period. I am not
sure how other surgeons feel but mine says stay away
cuz the carbonation can cause problems in the pouch,
not only stretching it but causing damage in the early
stages. I am an advid diet coke drinker...but I have
made a life altering decision here, so why on earth
would I do anything to sabotage my chance of living a
thin life??
I know that whatever my surgeon tells me I am going to
abide by....I want to be sucessful and thin :)
I would be interested to know what others have been
told tho :)

I havent had any problems with artificial
sweeteners. I have noticed though that before surgery I loved
sweet things, and since surgery I really dont care for
them. Even sweetnlow is too much for my palate these
days. Ive heard alot of post ops say the same thing,
that their desire for certain things has gone
away.

As for not eating until 1:00, I do the same thing
most of the time. Sometimes I have to force myself to
eat. Just ,ake sure that your getting your vitamins,
your tums for calcium and as much protein as you can
get down. I told my doctor that sometimes I just dont
want to eat...he said to just do it logically.
