Tentative date set and some ?..(m)
Well, I have a (date) set for my VBG on 4/3/00. I
go in for pre-op testing on 3/27/00. I would like to
know what type of tests to expect. Also, before
surgery I would like to weigh and measure myself. Where
exactly am I supposed to measure? I want to be able to
count every inch later on. I also have seen it
recommended to take easy to slip on slippers to the hospital,
what do you think of those non-skid socks? I would
love to hear any other suggestions you may
have.<br><br>Tracy

Tracy: This is what I would do as far as
measuring. Start with your neck and work you way down,
measuring everything, even your wrists. Make sure to write
down your current ring size, dress size, bra size,
underwear size, and even shoe size. Measure ankles, all
over your legs. You might have two dozen measurements,
but that is better than not enough. You will be
amazed at how much you are going to lose "all
over."<br><br>I would NOT recommend the slipper socks. You are
not going to be able to bend over to get them on.
Just the slippers you can slip your feet into easy are
the best. Nothing with a heel that you have to fool
with. I had to wear those stockings to prevent blood
cloats also and slip on slippers are the best, believe
me.<br><br>Good luck….Helen (Surgery 8-14-1997)
