drinking water

I have recently tried to drink my 64+ ounces of
water a day. Ive been doing it for about 4 days now.
(shame on me, Im 4 months post op). Anyways, I have to
pee so hard and so often that It feels like my teeth
are floating. My question is…. will by bladder
eventually stretch to hold more so Im not cramping and
running to the potty every 15 minutes? If not, i wont be
able to keep this up. It feels like my bladder only
holds 4 ounces at a time.
Michelle

    Michelle,
I have heard that when you don’t
drink enough water, your body tissues retain water to
try to conserve. Now that you are drinking more,
maybe your body is getting rid of all that retained
water. That could be why you have to go all the time.
Are you losing more weight than usual all of a
sudden? I drink my 64oz a day, and don’t have to go to
the bathroom that much. If it keeps up like this, you
should ask your doctor. Good Luck! Lynn
