Listen here. If you have a medical condition that
can be eleviated by this surgery then you will be
approved. Insurances are in a tough spot now. If they deny
you the surgery then thaty HAVE to offer you other
means of correcting your co-morbities. If you have
diabetes, asthma, back pain, high blood pressure, or
anything like that, they know that it is cheaper to do the
surgery then to care life-long for you. They cannot tell
you that your other option is to lose weight on your
own, and they face law suits if they deny you what you
need. My friend was approved at 100 pounds overweight
with pain in her knees. The only exception to this is
if your insurance states up front that they DO NOT
offer any weight loss surgery or medications. If they
do not state this in your handbook, then rest

assured you will be approved.

Hey there :)
I haven't had any experience with
Priority, but let me tell you this. My insurance are real
sticklers, my coverage had to be medically necessary and all
I had was asthma. Mildly at that. So, don't worry
so much. Arthritis is a good comorbidity, as is
depression. What overweight person doesn't have that? :) Know
what I mean?
So take a deep breath, and expect to
be approved. Besides, these surgeons can do wonders
in making things seem so much worse than they are so
that you can get coverage, they are great like that!
Good luck to you!

Laura H.
