Happy Easter from Arkansas
Happy Easter to everyone. I dont post much but I
do try to catch up on reading the board from time to
time. I sure wish you all the best of luck on the
upcoming surgery dates. I know how excited you are.
Barbie, I live in Lonoke, Ar. and had my surgery at St.
Vincents last July. My family still does not know about
this other than my daughter. I’m fine with telling
them I starved to lose this weight!! I did watch the
Carnie thing and wished I could be as open as she is.
But for me…this was so personal. I just do not feel
proud that this is what it took to get this weight off.
I wish I could shout it from the roof tops but I
cant. I know everyone handles this in their own way. So
like everyone says this surgery has to be your last
resort…well it was mine and I guess I still feared failure
and still yet do so therefore its just a private
matter to me. But I am finally where I can eat normally
just in smaller amounts. Not that this is a good thing
but I can still eat sweets but do try as much as
possible avoid them. Fried stuff gets to me worse than
sugar but I am not big on fried foods anyway.
I am
very thankful for this surgery…I wonder at what
number on the scale would I ever have stopped. Well here
I go rambling on and on. Just want to wish you all
a very special Happy Easter.

Dear Debra, How have you been since your surgery?
Are you keeping the weight off? Who was your Dr? Mine
is Dr. Gibbs and I’m having the operation at
Baptist. There is a site I found for people from Ar. and
they have been very supportive. Its eGroup WLSAR.
There are alot of pre op and post op there. Do you have
anymore you want to lose?.
How much have you loss?
Take care, Barbie
