A question about extracts

Hi all. I had an open RNY on 3-27-00 and am
struggling with ways to choke down my protein drink. I’ve
added half a banana (w/my dr’s okay) to my drink, but
realize that I’m consuming extra calories at the same
time. I’m wondering, has anyone experimented with
extracts…artificial flavorings? Any problems? I’m under the
impression they are made with alcohol and I’m wondering if
there’ve been any side effects.<br><br>Thanks in

    Honestly you could do just as well for yourself
    to buy the protein bars instead. Chew them well and
    they practically become liquid anyway. Some have up to
    40 gms of protein per bar. Just watch the sugar
    content.<br>I could never get myself to drink that stuff

    Linda,<br>I stuck with fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, etc.) and yogurt
    (nonfat with aspartame) and that was all the flavoring I needed… good
