I’d like to watch this but I’ll be in the hospital having my WLS on June
    2…….lol.

  2. Neva Marjory Says:

I’m going to try to watch it. I’m having my wls
on MAy 26, I wish I could see it before hand. I’ve
got 20 days to go!!! I’m ready. I wish it was
tomorrow. I’m wondering how I will handle it, but I know it
is the best thing for me to do!!!

Thanks for the info!!<br><br>I had my WLS on 3-27, but have had lots<br>of
friends and family ask about the procedure…<br>now I know where to direct
    them!<br><br>Thanks again,<br>Linda

I wish I had that channel! :(.. I only get one
channel in… I guess it’s time to get an antennae?!
lol<br>Someone watch it for me… that’s it. :)<br>Well, My aunt
is thinking of having the surgery. I hope she gets
approved. My friend just had her tummy tuck. She went
through hell. She has an incision from under her breasts
to her hairline. it’s not even straight. It makes me
frightened about going to the naval hospital to get mine
done. What are the success rates of the tummy tuck in
… I shouldn’t say "success" rate.. but more of …
who was pleased with theirs? Have any of you had it
done yet? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
    :)<br>Thanks !<br>Lisa Boone

Lisa,<br>Reading that list it is NOT being shown
here anyway, so you are NOT missing anything… I have
a friend that is in local programing here, I will
ask him about it though. Let me know what you hear
about the tummy tuck… so I am guessing if you have
decided to go for it, that you guys have decided your
family is complete?? Hope to hear from you
    soon!<br>Cindy

  6. Neva Marjory Says:

I’ll be having my surgery June 5th…Maybe I’ll have my Mom tape the PBS
    special.<br><br>Thanks!!

  7. Neva Marjory Says:

Not really. I have been working with The naval
med. ctr. (those crazy people won’t refer back out the
Jones Institute) and I am STILL not pregnant… HMPH.
IT took two LONG years of infertility work ups and
drugs to get ELijah. I want to have the tummy tuck…
within a few years (1-2)… so I am trying to do all the
    research on it now.<br>If I have to , I’d rather take a
loan out to get a "QUALITY" job done. My friend said
that she was so displeased with her results she cried.
They had made an incision , like i said before, down
to her hair line past her pubic bone. Then they
"T’d" it down there and she told me that it looks like
a mans penis. Then at the top under her breasts,
the skin is so gathered and isn’t smooth that it
looks like a second belly button right under her

    breasts. I feel bad for her.<br>Take care,<br>lisa

Congratulations on your surgery You seem to have a good attitude and that is
what it takes for this surgery, you should come thru it with flying colors and
remember we are all here pulling for you.

surgery then loss touch. How are you doing and feeling? I
only have 17 days left til surgery. I’m scared but oh
so ready to get it done!! Write back and let me know
    your latest! love, Barbie

  10. Neva Marjory Says:

Barbie,<br>WOW… it’s almost time for your
surgery. Keep your chin up. I’ll be praying for
you.<br>You have already come far with all the work you have
done to get everything in order for your
    surgery.<br>You’ll do great.<br>Good Luck!<br>Lisa B.

  11. Neva Marjory Says:

Barbie: Best of luck on your upcoming surgery.
Your going to love the adventure!!!! Keep us posted on
all your progress. I love to hear about everyone and
how their weight-loss is going. Best wishes going
    your way.<br><br>Helen (Surgery 8-14-1997)

  12. Neva Marjory Says:

Dear helen I just read your post to
Barbie…<br><br>"love the adventure".. would this be the post- surgical
adventure…lol.. Just teasing. I read your sentance and remembered
the pain and couldn’t remember the adventure part
(hee hee hee<br>Well,<br>I have to tell you something.
You have been a very LARGE part of my pre-op and
post-op time. and I want to tell you thank you and wish
you a happy mother’s day. I feel as though you had
"mothered" me through my surgery and post op period with
your kind thoughts and wonderful advise.
    Again,<br>Thank you!<br><br>P.S…. I had a rough day today, I
looked into the mirror in the restroom and I started to
cry. I sometimes forget that I am skinny and I still
get shocked by it.. this surgery was the best thing I
    have every done.<br><br>Bless you all!<br>Lisa

  13. Neva Marjory Says:

Lisa: What else can I call it but an adventure. I
have long forgotten the "pain" and just remember that
scale going down and down.<br><br>I understand what you
understand about forgetting you are skinny. I come into my
front door and there is a mirror right directly across
from it. Everytime I catch my reflection, I do a
double-take. I don’t know whether to cry because I can
remember the pain of seeing a fat person for so many years
in that mirror or crying because I can "finally" see
the thin person I always knew was there. I think I
will just cry for all the times that people so me only
as fat and never for the person that I knew I always
was. That is why I will NEVER mistreat an over-weight
person. I know they look at me and think "You will never
know what I am going through, BUT they don’t realize

that I AM one of them and always will be." I just
can’t relate to the Skinny-snotty crowd and never
will.<br><br>I hope I can help anyone else that needs a little
boost…..but….remember, I am here everyday for the boost too. I can never
thank everyone for their daily support.<br><br>Love ya
    all….Helen (Surgery 8-14-1997)

  14. Neva Marjory Says:

Hello — I do not post regularly but read posts
daily! Congratulations to all of you on your weight
loss! Good Luck to the people who are just starting –
you will not regret this decision! <br><br>I had open
RYN on January 18 and to date I have lost a total of
96 pounds! I am feeling great! Someone earlier said
what a feeling it was the first time someone did not
recognize you — Well that just happened to me. My mom and
I were shopping and she came to look for me up and
down the aisle and couldn’t find me! When she did find
me she was laughing and said she couldn’t find me
and told me how skinny I looked. What a feeling! I
was floating on air! :o) <br><br>Anyway the reason I
posted — Did anyone tape the PBS Healthweek Special
where 2 people were having WLS? If so, I would love to

see it if anyone would send me a copy — I would pay
for all shipping and handling. I was so bummed when I
missed it! :o(<br><br>Just let me know — thanks for
    listening! :o)<br><br>Tami :o)
