45 pounds is about where I was at 2 1/2 months.
Some months you will lose faster then others. im sure
you can already see yourself shrinking. I hit the 100
pound mark today and its been 6 months since surgery,
so your in line with me. Dont get discouraged. It
WILL come off. And even if its a little slower then
others...so what? Whats a few extra months in the grand
scheme of things? Peace, love and thinness....

Hi there,
I am not sure who set you up to
think YOU would lose 90 by now... but my doc said
"everyone is different, but the 1st 6 weeks it tends to be
10% of your starting body weight" and everyone I know
has been right around that. And I think 45lbs is
GREAT.... what would you have lost in 2 months withOUT the
surgery???? So pat yourself on the back... and be HAPPY...
because you are on the downward trend! Believe me, in a
few months you will be looking back and saying WOW...
I have come so far. Another thing... although we
ALL like to see those numbers on the scale come down
and stay down... try concentrating on noticing how
different you feel. I notice how much easier it is for me
ot walk... how I have successfully put off TWO
surgeries because I have lost weight... and my favorite...

the expressions on peoples faces when they realize it
is me and they didn't recognize me! It just happened
again with a friend at the airport... I had seen him 3
months ago, so he has seen me with 100 pounds gone...
but I was waving at him and WAVING at him.. and he
was standing there listening to this lady on the
phone saying "I am not sure where she is I am standing
out in front..." and he was thinking.."you big dummy
she is standing right there WAVING at you" only for
him to finally realize it was me when my children ran
up to him LMAO... it was too funny... and he is my
BEST friend!!!!
Good luck... it will all come in
time!
Cindy
Open RNY 8/2/00
preop 298
current 183
