Never, never swallow it!! I couldn't imagine having to have a blockage removed. Was in the hospital for my surgery when another lady was in there having a blockage of steak removed.....not a pretty site. It could plug your hole and require surgery to remove. I chew gum all the time, but not while Im walking around or concentrating on anything intense.
