Obesity surgery

On September 6th (23 days ago) I had the Roux en
Y gastric bypass surgery — it went wonderful — 2
days in the hospital feeling great — 7 days after
surgery I went home not feeling as great but getting by
– 11 days after surgery and my incision gets
infected — an evening in the ER and I go home with the
nastiest tasting liquid antibiotic I have ever tasted not
1 bottle but 2 — a few days go by I still feel
horrible — weak, depressed, nauseous, headache — surgeon
says go get a blood test — I go — kidney results
look odd — go for another blood test — now kidneys
are ok but potassium is too low — so I get another
even nastier tasting solution to choke down — here I
am now still not feeling well — but a whopping 34
lbs lighter — surgeon says I feel bad because my fat

I just thought Id share this with my friends
here. I got such a kick out of it. Right before my
surgery last year my best friend Jennifer of 10 years
informed me that I couldnt be a bridesmaid in her wedding
becasue I was too fat and would ruin it. I was devastated
that she couldnt find a better way to handle that. We
havnt spoken since, obviouisly she blew me off so she
wouldnt have to deal with it face on. (I later heard she
was left at the alter)<br> Anyways, yesterday I was
in line at the store and she was right behind me.
She didnt even recognize me. I never said anything to
her. She smiled, said hello, and all the pleasantries
that strangers say to each other in grocery store
lines, but she never recognized me the whole time I was
there, even catching eye contact with her. I was so

military dependent and my Gastric-Bypass was July 1, 1999.
I have Tri-Care Prime and had my surgery at an off
base hosptial here in Little Rock, AR. If you have any

Just dropping by and catching up on the posts
since my 3 week vacation. Am glad to hear about all the
folks that have been approved and/or scheduled for
surgery. For those that have been been denied, I pray that
the appeal process awards an approval.<br><br>As for
me, I attended my consultation appt on 9/15 and also
received approval for the surgery. I’m scheduled for
10/25. I go for my psych evaluation on 10/4 and pre-op
physical 10/23. I’m very excited! My insurance company is
covering the surgery 100% and all but a $15 co-pay for my
psych evaluation. <br><br>Am keeping all in my prayers.

LOOKING FOR A SERGEON IN MO. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFORMATION I REALLY DONT EVEN
KNOW WHERE TO START THANKS

My primary asked me to consider Dr. Scalia of Balitmore for my WLS. Has anyone
out there used him or heard anything about him ? If so let me know.

how much does the surgery cost? I am just wanting an idea of the price range?
