Loose Skin
Hi all,
Thanks for reading this.

I had
gastric bypass surgery over a year ago. I started at
412lbs and now I’m 252 lbs. I’ve been stuck at this
weight for about four months now. I think I’ve been
halting my progress on purpose. I’m starting to feel
really self-conscious about all this flabby skin hanging
off me. My arms, my thighs, my back, my chest,
everywhere! Everything is drooping … Is there anything I
can do to help? I can’t afford cosmetic surgery, and
I’ve still got 100# to go here. Any help out there?

I have heard if your DR - can write a letter to
the insurance company proving medical ness. some
times the insurance company will pick up the tab! I am
sure the letter needs to be a great letter , most
insurance companies dont cover healthy care~ I would take
to your DR and see if they have heard of this. I
talked to my DR and he said I could get a tummy tuck and
a breast lift covered ! GIve it a
try!

Jennifer
DR.DREW
Oct 4
LAP -RNY

YAE there is hope!
the plastic surgery is
usally covered… but YOU need to document problems!
When you go to the dr complain! complain! Complain! If
you have irritations, tears in your skin, anything..
complain and MAKE SURE THEY write it down! This will be
what you need to document the problems for medical
necessity. I have dr friends and they forewarned me to do
the same… it is a shame what people have to go
through!

But on the other hand I have a friend that had a
tummy tuck etc… and she actually had another 10
pounds of extra skin! And I know of people having MUCH
MORE than that removed… but it has to be for more
than "looks" Right now I am having a problem with me
skin tearing in my pantyline area… it is from the
hanging (or draping as they say) of my thighs… because
of other surgeries I have had over the years it is
only doing it on one side and my dr said they will
send me to plastice surgeon… I just told them I
wanted to wait until I was sure I had lost all my
weight…

Good luck!
Cindy
