Hi Marla,

We have 2 things in
common---1.)We both are having trouble with our insurance
companies and 2.)We both are Rns. I think it very sad and
unfair that we have dedicated our professional lives to
caring for the sick yet are denied when we need help.
I'm beginning to lose faith. Good luck in your
quest.

Tracey

I'm not sure about personal insurance, but there
is a law that states Medicaid must pay for WLS if it
is a medical necessity. Are you on disability? If
so, you should have Medicare/Medicaid. Medicare is a
problem because they don't pre-certify, and as of late,
they haven't been paying the claims. However, since
Medicaid is secondary, it pays for anything that Medicare
doesn't pay. Don't get discouraged about your first
insurance denial, appeal it. I hope everything will work
out to your liking.
