Hi, I had my surgery one year ago. I started at
272, and now I weigh 157. I would like to lose about
five more pounds, but I am very happy with my results
already. I did develop a large hernia which I had to have
surgery to repair, but I don't regret my WLS at all.
Check out my personal wls page.

Depending on your surgeon, your hospital, your
type of surgery, and the region of the country you
live in, it can range anywhere from 15,000 to 50,000
(including everything from start to finish). And, that is
the normal hospital stay without any complications.
If you have complications, those costs can rise
dramatically. If you have insurance, your out-of-pocket cost
will depend on your policy. Some people on an HMO
don't have any expense, and other people like me end up
paying a certain percentage. I paid about 3,000 because
that is the out-of-pocket maximum (per year) on my
policy. If you have no health insurance, many surgeons
will give you a self-pay discount, and will set up a
payment plan for you.<br>Hope this helps.
