What happened to me

I just thought Id share this with my friends
here. I got such a kick out of it. Right before my
surgery last year my best friend Jennifer of 10 years
informed me that I couldnt be a bridesmaid in her wedding
becasue I was too fat and would ruin it. I was devastated
that she couldnt find a better way to handle that. We
havnt spoken since, obviouisly she blew me off so she
wouldnt have to deal with it face on. (I later heard she
was left at the alter)
Anyways, yesterday I was
in line at the store and she was right behind me.
She didnt even recognize me. I never said anything to
her. She smiled, said hello, and all the pleasantries
that strangers say to each other in grocery store
lines, but she never recognized me the whole time I was
there, even catching eye contact with her. I was so

shocked that she wouldnt notice me, but I do have people
tell me all the time that I look completely different
now, face and all.

I just thought Id share this
with you. It made me feel realy good.

I loved this story. Sounds like she got what she
deserved. How do you feel about looking so different? When
people tell me I look so different, I feel confused,
because my body image is still lagging behind I guess.
Anyway, glad you are doing well…Linda
