UK surgery
Please, please, can anyone help. Im looking for hospitals etc in Scotland. Is
anyone here aware of any or can point me in the right direction?<br>Thanks again

Hi Louise<br>I found my own surgeon willing to
perform weight loss surgery.<br><br>I approached my GP
back in Feb 1998, it took him until August 1998 to let
me know that no surgeons performed weight loss
surgery on the NHS.<br><br>In Sept of 1998 I was watching
the "THIS MORNING" programme with Richard & Judy,
there was a surgeon on the show who said he performed
weight loss surgery,his name is Mr. Micheal Scott, from
Merseyside(176 miles one way from where I live, 3 hours car
drive)<br>I rang the show, got his secretary’s telephone
number and gave her a ring.<br>She provided me with the
surgeons full name and address, which I passed onto my
GP.<br>My GP wrote to him, I received a letter in Dec 1998
inviting me to go and see Mr. Scott.<br>I saw him on 1st
April 1999, he accepted me onto his waiting list,
informing me that I would have to wait around 2 years.<br>I
received notification on 22nd Feb 2001 that I was to have
my operation on Tuesday 27th March 2001, now only 6
days away.<br>There is a british lady in this club who
is awaiting surgery, which will be performed at
St.James Hospital, LEEDS, somewhere around Sept
2002.<br>Don’t give up hope of finding a surgeon,but unlike the
USA where you can get surgery in a matter of weeks,
be prepared for a long wait, unless you have the

Hi again Louise the lady I mentioned in my last
message goes by the name of truebluebonita, if you go
back to messages posted in January you will be able to

maybe if you contact her she may also be of some help
to you in your search for a surgeon, once again good
