Obesity surgery

Was I wrong to understand I would not be hungry between meals? I am hungry with
the real deal hunger pains included. Can you advise?

Hi everyone! I joined the club a couple of weeks
ago and have been reading everything you guys write
so I thought It was time I put in my hello’s. I
haven’t gotten to the "other side" yet. I’ve been doing
my research on the surgery. I’m trying to find time
to make the consult. See, I live about 5 hours from
the nearest center. I can’t wait to meet with them,
but I am very scared. I hope everything goes well.

Just wanted to share my excitement with people I
know wil be excited for me. I was aproved on Tuesday
and I will be having surgery on Thursday the 8th. I
am so happy and excited. I am in a whirlwind of
getting ready. I thought I would have more time (not by
choice), but they surprised me. Everything looks good. No
major concerns. 3 days in the hospital and begin new
life!! I will be having the medial bypass with
transection. We’ll see how long it takes to post after
surgery. I am very confident that I will be up and around
in no time. (I hope). Any suggestions for last
minute details? Any would be appreciated. Thanks! Wish

My allergies are causing the standard drainage,
but even when I eat measured food, I still barf from
time to time. Every time it is phlem that comes up.
Sorry to gross you out, but does anyone have any method
to solve this? Is there anything I can drink before
a meal that will cut this and empty my pouch for
food? Help!

Has anyone taken a laptop to the hospital with them or anyone you know of? just
wondering here.

encouraging messages. <br><br>I have researched, have seen my
surgeon and am now undergoing sort of a pre-op set of
evaluations set up by my surgeon. He wants me to have
cardiology, pulmonary, nutrition, gastric and psychiatric
work ups before deciding on the procedure. I’ve done
the cardiology and am going to the nutritionist
today. <br><br>I am ambivalent about the surgery ~ I
guess it’s partly out of fear ~ partly out of the "here
we go again" feeling. That maybe I’m undertaking
just another thing that won’t work. I am trying to be
positive and truly when I see all the wonderful before and
after pictures it really does make me want this! I’m
5′3" and 259 pounds. My surgeon will do the Lap

Hi all from Canada….seriously researching
Weight Loss Surgery! I have had ENOUGH of being so short
and SO round…..I am presently deciding on what kind
of surgery is best for me…and I am truly
interested in having a LAP procedure done as I have a young
son (9mos) at home and I would like a quicker
recovery if at all possible…is this a realistic hope??

I just got home from the dr.s I had my surgery august 28th I have gone from
348.50 to 243.oo. I’ve lost now 105.50 pounds.

I’ve been researching WLS for a few months now
and I know it’s not only what <br>I want to do, it’s
what I NEED to do.<br><br>My problem is…..I’m not
considered ill enough to be disabled, but I’m not <br>well
enough to hold down a full time job….Hence I have no
health insurance, <br>and paying out of pocket is
something I could afford, say 50 years from
now.<br><br>Does anyone know of any self insurers, or are any of
you self insured and had <br>the company approve
you?<br><br>I tried EInsurance, or something like that and I
was turned down….I weigh <br>350 and have high
blood pressure and diabetes, so they denied me So I
was <br>hoping maybe someone here might have some
information on self insurance?? <br><br><br>If not…is there
anyone with health insurance who wants to marry me
