Hi Rozebud,

I had my surgery on April 30th
of this year. I’ve already lost 35 lbs and feel
great. Frankly, when I think about all my worries before
the operation, I feel rather silly. It’s been great!
It’s made a big difference in my life, not only in my
weight, but also in my attitude, my eating habits
especially. I’m really surprised that food I longed to eat no
longer has the same appeal. I don’t worry about my next
meal, but work hard in making sure that I eat good food
when I do eat. Funny, I was in the lobby this morning
and there was a very heavy woman with a McDonalds bag
in here hand. Now, before the surgery my first
thought would have been, "now why didn’t I stop at
McDonalds", but now I want to tell the world there’s a way to
stop the madness. For the first time since I can
remember, food doesn’t rule my life. It’s no longer the
main focus. My focus now is being healthy. Another
surprise, this may sound funny, but I use to go to the
bathroom about 20 times a day. Most of the time, I didn’t
think I would make it there in time (and sometimes I
didn’t). NOW, I’m drinking about 63oz of water a day,
which is 63oz more water than I use to drink, and I
don’t feel like I’m going to burst. As a matter of
fact, I don’t have any "accidents" anymore. That’s a
big plus when you work outside of the home! But, of
all the changes in my life, I do have to say that I
miss my Wine. I do love good wine, and for the next
year my doctor has asked that I not drink. I really
can’t give you any bad news, it’s been really good for
me.

Good luck in making your decision.

Pam
