These are the questions I was asked also. They wanted to know if I had a lapse in insurance (63 days) and if so, then the amount of months you had coverage in the past year would apply toward a one year waiting period. However, my insurance was lapsed for more than 63 days so I couldn't get anything applied toward a one year waiting period. They were trying to claim it was pre-exising. Obesity can no longer be considered a pre-existing condition. And if they try to claim this, you should contact a lawyer. I did. I finally got approved. Good luck with everything.
