Operation Complete…

I have had the major complication of naseau. I
was kept in the hospital an extra four days. Its been
3 weeks and still can’t keep anything down so now I
have to go back to see if there is some sort of
blockage. Anyone had this done? I feel like crap! No energy
and tired all the time. Help!

Hello and welcome to the "other side" I know were
your coming from with the naseau, feeling like crap
and having no energy. I’m 10 weeks post-op and felt
the same way you are feeling now. I wish I could tell
you that the naseau gets better but for me I will
have a few good days, the an entire day were anything
I put in my mouth comes right back up. To get your
energy back up you need to make sure you are getting
your protein. I always know when I dont have it in me
becasue I feel like I have been drinking, my speach gets
sleared, I cant walk strait and start to stumble around.
Thats when I pull out a protein bar and take a bite or
two. At about 4 weeks post-op I had a beraum
(spelling?)swollow test done to see if there were any blockages or
tears. the only problem they found is that I have really

bad reflex, meaning everything starts to come back
up. I wish you luck with your test. Any quitions feel
free to email me.

hugs,
Dorothy
RYN

hey I have been thinking about you! I knew your
surgery was a while ago & there were no posts from you.
sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I still suffer
from the exhaustion myself & I am 5 weeks post op. my
dr said it takes about 3 months to get your energy
back to normal since your body had a major shock. try
to hang in there. I didn’t believe it myself when it
was told to me, but it does get better. I am now 25
lbs lighter & down almost 2 clothes sizes. that is
exciting. I will keep you in my thoughts & hope it all
works out for you

The nausea is really bad and I’m beginning to
think that my stomach is being conditioned to throw up
everything! I may have to have the balloon thing done for a
blockage. My doctor appears nervous because I’ve dropped
almost 60 lbs. Also, I have no saliva and my tongue gets
hard. I must be dehydrated. I drink but it doesn’t stay
with me. I’m getting a little scared. I do not want to
go back into the hospital…that was awful.
