Hi,I know this wasn’t addressed to me, but I’m
going to BTC also. I think that it was 4 or 5 weeks
when I called my insurance co. They also said that
they had not received anything so I called BTC to see
what happened. I had to end up calling BTC’s corporate
office and left a message on the person’s machine. I
think it was a week or so before I got to talk to
someone and they said that for some reason my information
was messed up and didn’t get sent to the insurance
co. So I would say you need to call BTC. Hope this
helps.
Brandy

Heidi-
I went to the Ohio BTC. It takes about
2 months for insurance approval. BTC sends all
their paperwork through the Michigan
office/headquarters. Mine paperwork took a bout a month to reach my
insurance company which they then approved in a day. Then
it took a few weeks to gt back through the BTC
channels before I was called for a surgery date.
It
takes awhile but it’s worth the wait. I’m only 3 weeks
pre-op but Im already feeling the benefits :)
Try to
be patient!
Good Luck,
Anne

Anne,
Thank you, when I went there they had
told me it took 2 weeks for them to have things to my
insurance. I started calling and was told it could take
longer. The waiting is making it hard for me. It’s been 3
and a half weeks since my first visit.
After you
were called for a date, how long was that?
How much
weight have you lost so far? Are you still recovering
for the surgery??
Thank you
Heidi

Heidi-
My original consultation was on April
26. I believe I heard from BTC that I was officially
approved by my insurance around June 11 (I had know for a
few weeks from my insurance). Then it took about 2
weeks for the scheduler to call (she is very
backlogged). I think my call from Robin the scheduler came the
week of June 25 and surgery was scheduled for July 30
with PAT’s on July 10th.
I went last Tuesday for my
2 week check and happily found I had lost 30
pounds. Everything is going well and I feel pretty good.
I start pureed food tomorrow and am looking forward
to it. I also go back to work full time on Monday -
I had been back on and off until this
point.
Good Luck!
Anne
