I need help !!!

Monday, August 16th, 2004

Hi everyone, I’m new here so this is my first
time posting. I also belong to Obesityhelp.com but was
not able to find help there.
Here is the problem,
I have just received my 3rd and final appeal and
was again denied by my health and welfare fund
(union)even though I have 3 letters of medical necessity from
3 doctors. There is nothing more I can do as they
only have a level 3 appeal. I also have been turned
down by the state for any kind of help. I called
Walter and was told there is nothing he can do to help
as he has fought with this company and lost in the
past. I have no way of getting a loan. I need to find a
way to raise 13,500.00 to have the open RNY surgery
in mexico. My family will not help out at all
because they feel it’s to much fun to make fun of me and

I have had the major complication of naseau. I
was kept in the hospital an extra four days. Its been
3 weeks and still can’t keep anything down so now I

Check up today and there may be a proble

I had my 6 wk check up with Dr. Coster. According
to his scale and
the wt I was at his consule, I
am down only 12lbs. I told him I
gained about 14
lbs after the consult to PCP physical 1 wk prior to
surgery (297). So, I may be closer to 28lb off. Anyway,
he wanted
to see what the pouch looked like, so
I had an upper GI done at
hospital while I was
there. The radiologist said the barium stuff
just
went right on through without any delay. Now I am
worried. I
bet it is the stoma that is the problem. No
wonder I don’t feel full.

I will post tomorrow
hopefully, about upper GI results.
Vicki
Boone
VBG

I have concidered this bariatric surgury for a
few years now I had my approval most eveything now, I
will not do it… we have funeralized a freind 8/08/01
due to complications she had since April 2001… she
never has been the same since the weight loss surgury..
she was 375lbs and due to all the problems died at
180lbs SINCE APRIL 2001…. A wonderful women attractive
with children and a boyfriend that said he loved her
for being herself….. SUCH A TOTAL LOSS… Now
before this girls funeral we was wondering why another
friend lives out of state died so suddenly… due to the
weight lost we all assumed the big disease with the four
letters… but this girl wanted it to be a suprise to us she
would come back to our hometown 200lbs lighter. they
too never recovered. she had surgury August 2000 and

New Guy in Town…..

Thursday, August 12th, 2004

Well I’m considering getting a by-pass to lose
weight… so upon searching the web, I found this place and
thought I would join.

My history:
I’m a former
professional athelete that was training for the Barcalona
olympics in Equestrian sports. I had an accident and
fractured my back in 3 places, my shoulder and later I
broke my knee also. In the last ten years I spent 5 of
those lying in a hospital bed recuperating from 7
surgeries in my lower back and thats where I inflated to a
whopping 305 pounds (6 feet tall)

In the middle of
all this I went to school and got me a diploma in
Fine Arts and then a Diploma in computer sciences and
a career as a Computer Specialist.

Lately
I’ve been off work for depression, drugs are good and
getting to normal. Last Monday night I declared outright

Denied

Wednesday, August 11th, 2004

Hello everyone. Well, the news i’ve been waiting
for 3 months on came in today. I have been denied.
The reason, that I am not medically in need for this.
Do you want to know how much I weigh, 305.
I’ve
been crying. I got the call at work so it wasn’t a
pretty sight. I ask about an appeal and they said that
the information is not going to change. I am going to
have to go to my pcp and see if they will send the
ins. something that says everything that is wrong with
me. See BTC’s office sent them a list of what was
wrong with me, but when my pcp sent my files in they
didn’t have anything in there that said what was wrong
with me. They didn’t ask for it. All they said they
needed was my height and weight. Now they are denying me
because the information my surgeon’s office sent was not
