Hang in there!

Tuesday, August 10th, 2004

Hey Kim!
I just read your post. I’m so sorry.
I thought for sure after you went to the board you
would hear something good. What is wrong with these
people? Would they tell someone they couldn’t have a
bypass on their heart?
Do you know anyone that has
the kind of money to loan to you? Silly question I
know. I don’t know anyone that has that kind of money
just laying around. Would banks loan for this I
wonder?
I wish I had some good advice, but to tell
you the truth I don’t know what I will do if they
deny mine. I don’t have any other means to do it
another way. Have you been at your job for awhile? Any
chance you would look at another job?
Hang in there,
something has to give. It just has to. I’ll be thinking
about you.
What if you went out and got insurance

Denied Again

Monday, August 9th, 2004

Well, I found out yesterday that Regence denied
me again. Thank God for my family and friends, I
don’t know how I would get through this if not for
them. I had a good cry (ok, maybe 2 or 3 good cries)
and now I’m back. But I feel tired. Now I go to my
employer (who is self insured) and try to get them to pay
as an exception. I am also trying to get them to
change the policy to not exclude weight loss programs.
On the one hand I don’t feel like I can waste any
time, but on the other hand I feel like giving up. I’m
tired of fighting.

help needed in Montana

Monday, August 9th, 2004

Hi-I looked at all the pictures and am thoroughly
impressed with the results of surgery from all of your
pictures.
I am in dire straits-wanting to lose and
trying to lose-but am unable-I feel like a failure. I
have tried the doctor prescribe fasting programs, have
been on phen-fen, meridia, redux, nutra system,
metabolife-you name it. I am tired. I want to get on with my
life-and it appears that surgery is my last option.
Do
any of you know of any surgeons in Montana who
perform this procedure? Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
Terri

St. Vincents of Indy

Sunday, August 8th, 2004

Lauri - Hi! Do you have anymore information about
St. Vincents? My consultation at BTC in Illinois, but
Indy is two and 1/2 hrs closer to me. Are they
associated with BTC, or are they separate from them? I would
love teo find someone closer, but I feel comfortable
with the ones in Illinois. Has anyone went to more
than one consult?

Brandy

For JennyJenaz and others

Hi,

I would like to give you some ideas
that might help you. First of all you need to document
every diet you have been on and when you were on it.
How much you lost and how much you gained after each
diet. Do a spreadsheet kind of thing. Also if you were
ever on a medically supervised diet document that
also. When you were on Meridia if you had any side
effects document that. Do all of this before you see the
nutritionist.

I am in Florida, I know that people who
have Cigna have not had this problem. I do not know if
it is because of the surgeon I had who will fight
tooth and nail for his patients or the forms he has you
fill out and the extensive examination you go through
to be sure you have all the criteria for the
surgery. Most inusrance companies require you to have a

Here I sit with just 2 days left. I go to the
hospital on Friday. I won’t know the time until they call
after 3 on thursday. I am not at all worried about the
procedure. I have had surgeries before and have made it
through all of them, hey I am still here aren’t I. HAHA.
I want to take this time to say thank you for
welcoming me into this fold. I have gotten so much
information from all of you and it hasn’t gone unappreciated.
I have stacks of printed pages to show for it.
I will probably post this in all the clubs I belong
to so if you see it again, don’t get angry just pass
it over. I just don’t want to forget to thank one
person who has helped me along my journey to the other
side.
Thanks to you all. You are all indeed angels in my book.
Your prayers are a wonderful way to help someone along

Hi,
I am on the other side. I had my long

has been going pretty good
but I can only eat 5
meals a day. I’m too full
when it comes to the sixth
