Obesity surgery

You guys won’t believe this. My dr’s office
called me on Friday(yesterday) told me they were in
touch with my ins. co. and the ins. told them that the
hospital was not in my ppo network. This means that my
portion will be $8000, $4000 upfront and the other 4 can
be put on payments of like 300 some a month. Well,
my surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, I will not
be able to come up with that kind of money nor would
I be able to pay that payment monthly. I looked in
my ins. book that has my providers and the hospital
that I am going to is in there. I knew it was, I had
already looked it up a long time ago, but I do not
understand why they are saying they aren’t in the network. I
will only have to pay 2000 and on payments if it is in
the network. I couldn’t believe it when they called.

I just started crying. I just have to get this done
before the year is up, I’m transfering to a university
in January and I won’t be able to take the time off
of school like I can now. <br>I’m trying to stay
positive, it’s hard because I have to wait the weekend out
before I can talk to anyone at the ins. office. It was
after hours by the time I talked to my dr’s office. The
funny thing is, I was suppose to leave Monday to drive
up there and stay overnight because my pre-testing
is on Tuesday morning. <br><br>Thanks for letting me
